Any other C Major Scale songs I should learn? Just wonderin .

Dont know, why not post a little somthing in the: Who are you topic, so we get to know a little more about you!

Just a thought: Edvard Grieg is a Norweigan composer . Might be worth exploring some of his music. His Concerto in a minor is a WONDERFUL piece!

Re: What songs are you currently learning?
I've gone tired of "The hall of the mountain king" because it's overused in a way, it's all over the place.
But it's still a great composition. But would be fun to check out some of Griegs other works.

Hi. And welcome I guess Those Who Fight is a hard piece??
well i guess
the hard parts are these like, arpeggios in 16ths which are difficult to play (at least for me) with the best accuracy, its fast enough that casual listeners probably would still be like "OMG HOWWS HE DOOOO THATTT" but it bothers me to no end to get those wrong. all in all its a lot of fun to play, took me a long time to learn though.

Yes, but right now I'm only playing what I already know, to get them smoother... Music consist of rythm, lead etc... I've always used to learn the lead because I'm not a good singer, but today I search around on youtube and I found a guy that was explaining chords and strokepatterns... I decided I will look into that kind of stuff, I can play chords, but havent really used em to play songs, but would be great If i'm ever gonna play on a party, songs that all people should know, then they can sing along etc...
I should maybe dry practice on the broken keyboard, so I still have the fingering down
Kahlan, let us know when your finished, penguins are fun, I havent learn the whole piece yet, but I will

Re: What songs are you currently learning?
Oh, I'm posting again? Quiet in this thread ^_^
I tried to "dry-practise" ( no sound ), but that sucks, that's like almost impossible for me,
because my brain get confused when there isnt any sound from the key I'm playing.
Anyway, I started to listen to my Final Fantasy soundtracks, and there are so much good pieces, I dont even know where to start,
and that's only the little problem, the other problem is that every day new pieces are made...
So I'll expect Uematsu and other composers dont really memorize all their pieces,
because if they do I have no clue how they can be able.
But I also noticed that I actually remembered hearing 99% of the FF pieces, amazing brain, how it actually can remember that...
Right now I just want a digital piano, guitar is ok, but there's something special with a piano...
I'm gonna waste some money on the lottery... ^_^

Re: What songs are you currently learning?
One of my ultimate goals in my piano playing has always been to be able to play many of the great video game music pieces that I fell in love with growing up: Stuff ranging from Mario and Zelda, even to a couple of songs from Pokémon. I can play several simple versions now, but want to be able to play the more complex varieties eventually!

I'm halfway through Last song by gackt, his songs are amazing. I wanted to play his other song, Redemption from FFVII but the notes are too confusing for me at the moment.

Re: What songs are you currently learning?
I really like the song marriage d'amour by richard clayderman. I am not able to read sheet music that well, so I am using a combination of sheet music and a MIDI file on Fl Studio 8. I just can't seem to get the left and right hand movements down. Thats my two cents...
Re: What songs are you currently learning?
I wanna make a request
I'm about 15 years to late, and to late to be able to watch 9 seasons before the movie isnt shown in the cinema anymore...
Yes, I'm talking about X-Files, I've just started watching season 1, watched 9 episodes...
I'm impressed over how good it is, and amazed that I believed it was horribly scary when I was 7-8 years old ( and at the time, 90's, there was a bunch of UFO stuff in magazines here )...
The theme still gives me chills, but I've never watched X-Files, just saw the preview when it was about to air next episode etc...
It's still kinda creepy ( I'm 20 ^_^), but I can watch it without peeing in my pants....
My request is that someone records themeself playing the X-Files theme

Learning stuff.
Okay, Now I'm learning "allegro" by bach. My grandma says I am going to learn a Chopin peice, and I'm excited because it would be the first sort of... more intermediate peice. The ones I've learned were "Mozart Sonata in C Major" and part of "The Maple Leaf Rag". Also, "The Hungarian..." (something I forgot, it's from the movie "Wacko's Wish")

Re: What songs are you currently learning?
My current repertoire consists a few grade 5 pieces:
(As usual in Russian syllabi; the opus numbers are often missing)
Variations on a Russian tune by I. Berkovich
( the tune is "I sit on a small stone"; really silly)
C.P.E Bach: Solfeggietto (almost done!)
A. Loeschorn: Etude C major Op.66 No 12(done?)
J.S. Bach Gavotte from Eng. suite No 3
And a horribly difficult Sonata that I'm even afraid to mention
