How I learn new songs
I dont know about you guys, but I could never read music notes.
Its just challenging for me, So instead I learn by watching and hearing.
I guess its a bad habit, but its just how I learned.

Re: How I learn new songs
I usually memorize songs I wanna learn, but I still have to read the music first.
I do practice playing by ear, but i'm not good at it.
This is how I read music:
Piano: I read a "digital piano roll" instead of the sheet itself, probably because I do always have the
computer monitor in front, and because it's a habbit, and I'm kinda not that good at ordinary
sheets even tho I know how to read them, but I'm very slow at it.
Guitar: Tabs aka guitar sheet, i'm pretty fast, and can play a few by just looking at the tab.

Re: How I learn new songs
I find reading sheets to be very easy if I know how the piece goes and have the tune in my head. Im not that good at finding out a piece that I never ever have heard before. But I have practiced that ONE time
Then I used a metronome and it went okay.
So I get the sheets, listens to the piece and then I start memorizing the notes and then I find how I want to interpretate it
