My favorite music is "première gymnopédie" by Erik Satie. I like most of his music. If you are in love, the music matches to your thoughts...if you are really sad, it matches to it too :-)

Re: What are your favourite Piano compositions?
specifically piano? I don't know many songs specific to piano (unless you count the ones I have written myself or the ones my dad wrote). Of the few I know these are the ones I like:
To Zanarkand by Nobou Uematsu
Aerith's Theme by Nobou Uematsu
Another Side by Yoku Shimomura
I also like the piano song that comes up at the start screen for Kingdom Hearts 2 but as much as I've searched I can't find it so I don't know the name of it (not Passion. I like that one but its not the piano piece I'm talking about lol)
I mainly play synth so I focus more on keyboardist than pianists.

Re: What are your favourite Piano compositions?
I was browsing through youtube, looking for Houki Boushi playd on piano, and I came over this guy, xSymbiose, who owns the same keyboard I have,
sadly mine is broken, and my digital piano arrives at thuesday, "posten" are slow at delivery, 8 days! They need to speed up...
This is my favorite of all times, as I've said before:
Oh, I wanna play this piece so badly, only 30-31 hours left before I get my RD-300GX in the house ^_^

Re: What are your favourite Piano compositions?
Mine are; Mozart - Symphony 40 and Debussy - First Arabesque.
But I have to say I specially enjoy watching people play The Flight of the Bumble Bee, it kind of makes my mouth water, like when you're starving and have a pizza in front of you but your hands are tight and there's no way you can reach and take a bite... That's how it makes me feel... I wish so hard I could play that piece, but I know I'll never be able to do so.
This dude's amazing.

Re: What are your favourite Piano compositions?
Carly Commando: Everyday.
Yann Tiersen: La Valsa D'Amelie, Sur Le Fil, Comptine d'Un Autre ete, l'apres midi, La Plage, honestly, anything by him (that doesn't include vocals, for the most part).
Michael Nyman: The Heart Asks Pleasure First.
I never truly connected with classical music. Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven, etc... They're great in their own ways, sure, but I feel like emotions get overcomplicated often. Just my opinion.

Re: What are your favourite Piano compositions?
Nice topic, it gives some ideas.
I don't know classical to be honest so it'd be tough, but I just "found" some 25 CDs worth of classical piano music on the Internetz in .flac format (meaning good quality) so I'll know a bit more, hehe.
For now...
- I found something I seem to like a lot. Chopin, Waltz op 62 no 2 (c# minor). Kinda current favorite...
People play it very random but I like this guy's interpretation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WpDH5zbhIk
- I like Canon, the George Winston version. Seems kinda much more.. living than the original.
- Indeed I need to check on some Vivaldi, I remember the four season being real nice but didn't hear it since a long, long time...
Too bad I don't have a proper sound system, classical music really requires some proper quality.
