Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39
LOL I dont think I want to see it that bad xD
Just hearing you perform live is already good enough for since I know its going to be great (except for the part where u said you made mistakes? xD )
P.S: I don't comment that much on your vids since I still don't think I'm at that level xD
( hehe I know it's weird)

Damn, thats to much, hehe Well, work is money

Yeah indeed, but working too much is not good. There should be some kind of balance between work and free time, at least that`s what I think(even though I might be considered as dreamer xD)
And having a live channel is really cool. too bad that I missed the performance, but I also have some work to do, at least for the next two weeks. ^^(last tests in school this term)

Yeah, In Norway we got some good hours. Normal jobs are 7 and 1/2 hours of work + 30min lunch
I see, but last time I had 50 in watching and 23 on an average, if this is just cause it was the first time I dont know, but I though Maybe 5people, hehe, so if people come back and back again Ill try to do theses live things once a week But Im not able to learn that many pieces so the material will be the same + some news now and then + Improvisations

Short piano piece this time. Its a prelude, in F minor, and in 3/4 time! Simple in style, even basic, but hopefully beautiful as well? Hope you enjoy

Oh, no!! Not any more out of this Thats the feeling I wanted to create, where you sit there in the end and want more! So Im glad you say so, but this is thought through and I would'nt ever want to do anything about this(At least not for now^^)
Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39

Yeah Well, one might say these things about the 40 sec pieces of Bach, Chopin ect as well! The reason you feel this way(parhaps), and I do in a way to, is based on the standard time of pieces/songs written today. That standard 3-4min piece/song. Pieces like this one, which is 1min breaks the "norm", and tests the "human expectation"!
Might be the reason you feel this way, just a theory of course
Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39
hehe nice theory Thomas ,but not right ,i still think u could add more content to give different textures/layers ..and we know you are capable of doing so ...but its your decision either way it has a gd sound about it
has to be gd if andrew comments on it

Okai, then we disagree Thats okay^^
Im working on a more complex piece as we speak, with 3sections and deep complexity in harmony and melody, but the C section isnt done yet, so then you will get "your request" fulfilled hehe
Well Andrew allways comment on my Originals, but he seam to generally like them
Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39
well i look forward to hearing your new piece , and of course will give you comment ..you must be doing right if andrew likes your originals ..i am not as experienced in piano but i played drums for a few years so i hav a bit of knowledge ..lol not much but a bit

Yeah, I do actually hope(and a little belive) that I will be able to publish and maybe live of my pieces some day.. I have been in contact with lots of composers and pianists of a high level around the world, and they all say that even with only a year of ecperience, I allready produce pieces in worldclass-level So, I hope they arent all saying this not to offend me, haha Andrew said after listening to my Nocturne that he thought it was almost up there where Chopin wrote his nocturnes, and that he thought Id be composing pieces like Chopin in about 5years from now
That was a proud moment ofcourse So Its my dream, and I put a lot of thought into my recent compositions, and aiming for a more classical approch meaning the style of the Romantic era, since thats what lies closest to me But I allso compose some casual pieces based mostly one improvisation
Well there I rembled of again
Drums ey? Yeah, I think I remember reading that when you introduced yourselfe on the forum if Im not mistaken
That should come in handy concerning rhythmes and beats ect which there are lots of in piano music, the only difference is that its silent
Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39
I wish you well in your endeavours and believe it will be possible for you to make a living from your writing and playing ,as you seem a very determined person to achieve your goals .....
yes drums do help a little but not so much with fingers lol ..mainly i find it easiier to keep beat without metros ,so advantage is there ...and yes you are right about some rhythms being silent :)ps i hav now learned th 1st hard prt of fur elise ..with a little help from your tutorial , i learned it by memory from sheet 1st ..then check by your tut on my fingering and made sure notes was right ,just got to get speed up a little so thanx ..i will also check it out for th 2nd hard part in a few weeks

I see Yeah, the fingers arent there yet, mine are far from totally independant as well If I MIX rhytmes on improvs, I mess up! So you have used that one, thats great to hear^^ Remember that its not that important to play it as fast as you possibly can, I made that mistake at first, and lost the muisic in it So its all about smoothness, and as Andrew told me back then; Think of a horse when doing thos fast notes, and how the horse gallop, you should hear every signle clicker from its steps Good Luck on it
