Re: left hand problems
Hi
You just have to keep on going as slow as you can!!
If you cant do it at the paste you try at now, you have to go slower, and take your time! Like this piece I started 6-7 weeks ago, Im still not up 100% speed on the whole thing, 95% of it, but I still got to get up to speed on the last 5...
When I started I learnd it and when I could play the first minute, I used 5 min to get trough it!!!!!!!! Now 6 weeks later I can play that minute almost as fast as I want to. And I went slow all the time, the speed comes on its own, when your brain gets secure on what it does!!!
And my other avice other than keeping on the slowness, is to do everything slow. Not go faster some places yet cause you can. Do everything at the same slowness untill you can speed up everything
Good luck

Re: left hand problems
Practice, practice, practice.....
Two hands can be very hard when you first do it, then it gets easier with time.
But still when you've playd for a while, a new piece will take some time.
I had the same "problem", that's how I found Andrew

Re: left hand problems
I am having this problem as well. But I think all it takes is passion, patience, and self-confidence
It doesn't matter when you will be good, just practice, and enjoy practicing

Re: left hand problems
Just put them together slowly and with time you will go faster and faster. You can't learn it instantly and by time it gets easier and easier

Dear Marnex,
*************************
"When I open my eyes I must sigh, for what I see is contrary to my religion, and I must despise the world which does not know that music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy."
-- Ludwig van Beethoven, quoted by Bettina von Arnin, letter to Goethe, 1810
*************************
This is a fairly wicked quote. I would have never come across this quote if it were not for you. Suddenly, I understand that geniuses are prone to experience some form of alienation. In fact, these great thinkers must have had a higher threshold for torment than most people.
Thanks for the jolt from reality. I thoroughly enjoyed the potential of the concept that music could be the highest form of revelation.
Please have a good voyage my friend.

Re: left hand problems
Hiya,
Try to play music that involves your left hand more than your right hand,I found my right hand knew just what notes to play fairly quickly and left my other hand behind,,my left hand was much slower also my brain took longer to take in the bass notes.Repitition is the key word.
