I think it's better to buy a Yamaha upright piano and good luck again.
I disagree!! My Digital Piano is great I got a Yamaha CLP 240 and it just awsome!
I think an Digital piano at this moment is the best way to go!
Ok by the way whats different with the upright with digital piano ....

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
Long time, no Final Fantasy project.... Anyway, like FBI re-opened x-files over 10 years ago, I'm re-opening my FF-project.
Tomorrow I will get 8000 nok, but I wont use em to pay the digital piano, my sister moved out, so I need my own digital camera.
So those money goes to exactly that. A Canon 450D + Canon f/2.8 28mm and Canon 55-250mm IS lenses.
What this means is that the HV30 wont arrive before december, in time for xmas. But what's nice is that next monday I'm ordering the Roland RD-300GX.
It'll probably arrive within the week, ordering from the other side of the country, so will take a few days tho.
And then I'll have about a month to practice if I have forgotten something, so I can make some video's with the HV30.
I've been thinking about the 700GX, because people on forums around says its piano feel is much better than the 300GX,
because the 700GX is something never been felt on a digital piano, but then I keep remembering myself, I dont have the money,
and it's ages since I've played a real piano, and it's probably 300 times better than my old 1989 Yamaha PSR-47, that didnt have weighted keys.
Today I made sure these "multilayered" midi's was made into a one layer for easier see what to play.
The FF-Project is re-opened
I'm gonna take some extremely detailed 12 megapixel pics of the 300GX when it arrives.

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
Status Update:
I've ordered the Roland RD-300GX, by my calculations it should arrive at thursday if i'm really lucky, but I bet it'll arrive at friday.
It's going to be shipped from up north, about the lenght from Canada to Mexico ^_^
Dont worry, there is a sustain pedal with the keyboard, I have asked, would be pretty sad if I got it, and there was no pedal
Then I'll have to play around with pedaling, I doubt I'm great. I noticed one thing, the difference between this keybed, the PHA alpha II ( next best ) compared
to the PHA II Ivory ( best ) is ofcourse the "escapement", but the real difference is the surface of the keys and that the best is a bit heavier.
I've been doing alot of research, havent actually tried them. But both do still feel heavier at the left side, and lighter on the left.
Anyway, I think lighter overall might be good since I got a 1.5 year old sister, and ofcourse not yet, but soon she will be able to play without
using to much force. She has actually tried "playin" on a real one, but it was to heavy, could really push at all.
This week I'll get all my techy stuff.... Yeah! Next week I got my birthday, alot of things in zero time

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
I got my camera when Obama became the new president, at 5. Nov
Been playing around a little bit with it, just to get to know the new lenses, and ofcourse the new camera.
I was expecting the piano by tomorrow, while it actually arrives in my tomorrow it wont reach my post office before monday...
That's kinda sad, blame the slow delivery guys, but it gives me a bit more time to play around with my new 450D.
Anyway, here's some random test images ( all shrinked from 4272 to 1280 ), the three last images are shoot while sitting in a car,
it seems that the IS ( image stabilizer ) does its work great, the first two compares 28mm against 250mm:
The neighbours house, 28mm:
The carpenters, 250mm:
A guy with a motorbike, 194mm:
A random house, 55mm:
And 2 birds, 96mm:

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
awesome!
btw hi all! I'm sorry I havent been on in like...a year? I've been busy at highschool >.<
Am happy to say that as this school year nears its conclusion I will be able to pop-in more. In the small amount of time that I was on this site before I learned some things that made playing 2x easier.
I love the Final Fantasy Series and can play almost all of Uematsu Nobou's songs (well... I can play them improv.....)

The Aerith Theme itself is easy, I've only looked at the sheet and learned a few bars ( havent had time to memorize it yet ), but it's easier then the FFX piano theme. It's a good beginner song if you've have gotten beyond the stage of twinkle twinkle little star and can play with both hands. There are some stretches with the left hand ( arpeggios ). But it's quite a simple piece, just go to http://www.ffpianomelody.com/sheetmusic_ff7.html and scroll down, it's a collection from both the in-game music and the piano collection music that is slightly changed from the original. I usually prefer the in-game stuff ^_^
I'm gonna upload records of FF1 - Ship, FF1 - Opening Theme and two Dimmu Borgir piano pieces ( one is actually stolen from another band, their keyboardist stole it without the others in the band knowing, but it's a good piece ) and fix some dead links next week
