My Final Fantasy Project....
It's been a long time since, and I've finally got my Roland 300GX, and ready to continue my Final Fantasy Project.
I'm listing my status and pieces here, hopefully I'll be able to complete all the pieces this year, 2009.
My frostbitten parts have become mostly healed 8)
My list of finished/practising songs ( mouse over to download available recordings ):
FF1 - Chaos Temple
FF1 - Coneria Castle ( Cornelia )
FF1 - Mayota's Cave ( My favorite from FF1, havent progressed since I destroyed my old keyboard )
FF1 - Town ( Forgot alot of this while I was without a keyboard, but I'm getting it together )
FF1 - Underwater Temple ( Having some issues with my dynamics on this one, but else this is finished )
FF1 - Ship ( Started a little tiny bit on this one )
( Figured the files need to be downloaded atleast 1 a month to stay active, but i'll make sure they'll stay active )

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
Check link in the first post, posted a mp3 recording of Coneria Castle.
Next up will probably be the Prologue melody, it's kinda long compared
to Coneria Castle ( C.C. is only about 40sec ), it's about 1:30....

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
ooo! I love final fantasy, are you planning to record songs from later Final fantasy games? Such as FFV or FFVII or FFVIII? I LOVE the music from FFVII!

I'm definetly going to do some FFVII, I already have found a few I wanna do. But right now I'm gonna practise all of the songs from FF1,
then I'll upload the whole FF1 on youtube when I get myself a digital piano. Then I'll prolly have time for FF7.
I dont know how long time it'll take, but I was surprised I actually could learn Coneria Castle that fast, even if it's short...
I usually struggles to memorize and use alot of time, lets hope my memory is getting faster.
Zelda is ok, but Final fantasy is great ^_^

OMG is sooo right.... thats what like grade 11?
Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
I would say more like 9 or 10?! There are more tecknically challanging classical pieces than this one! =)
Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
Today I recorded the "Underwater Temple" piece ( I felt I rushed it in some parts, even if it's supposed to be 150bpm ),
and a new version of Coneria Castle ( i've seen some weird spellings of coneria, but coneria is the correct as it is written in the game manual ^_^ ).
Just head up to the first post and listen, I actually playd the Underwater Temple theme for an hour to get a nice version...
Blame muscle memory and the speed ^^
The second recording Coneria Castle I played right away ( prolly because the brain knows 100% without doubt ).
Next up is the town music..... I know you cant know how the music is supposed to sound if you havent hear the original, but I'll promise you I'm pretty close

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
I love Final Fantasy music, I even have the real books for VII and X. I can play To Zanarkand and Tifa's Theme and I kinda stopped after that because I was dissapointed that my hands weren't big enough for the Final Fantasy VII Main Theme (theres a part that requires stretching 12 keys which is just barely beyond my grasp).
Theres also another evil polyrythym-filled song called 'Suteki Da Ne' from FFX.

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
I added FF1's town music ( scroll up to first post ), enjoy, but it's still a sound from my synth, no piano sound yet.....
You guys have to live with the icecrystal sound a bit longer ^_^
I'll just hope I can finish this project, and record the whole bunch with
a videocam, and upload it at youtube when I get a digital piano.
Links are fixed ^_^

I liked it! The sound you chose are also very nice! =)
The 3 first files didnt work ("Sorry, the file you requested is not available.") But,... Keep it up! When you get a cam and piano you must create a performancetopic?!!

Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
O my I always hear this from the game and you play it awesome. I wish you could upload more and more FF songs.
Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
I would upload a couple of my Final Fantasy pieces but my piano is way out of tune (over 8 years since my last tune), and my mom is being a cheap ass. I would pay for my own tuning but I gots me some parking tickets to pay.

Hehehe Parkingtickets sucks!
Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
Yeah no kidding! I mean damn, 40 bucks a ticket times 3, why on earth do they need to charge so much? Well anyways i'm "fighting" two of them, so this is gonna be a messy ordeal lol.

If your mom is cheap then my dad is the cheapest. Good luck!
Re: My Final Fantasy Project....
Ha thanks. I'm thinking about just buying a Yamaha Digital Piano, P-140 or something...

I think it's better to buy a Yamaha upright piano and good luck again.
