Post by art girl Sun Jun 14, 2009 11:34 pm

Hi ...how are you all ? sorry if you read my bad english ...I am not very good in writing but in the end I hope you understand my simple short story of my beloved piano ^_^

In the beginning the word ( piano ) did not come to my mind or even heard about it when I was a little girl queen
in fact the music in my family was forbidden thay looked at it as awaste of time and also sin *_* Evil or Very Mad

so the idea of learing music is wiped from my head completely Rolling Eyes

but one single day that I never forget is when I saw a beautiful white Piano in a toy store I love you I quickly and without thinking my fingers start to play the keys on it Wink I felt a feeling that I never ever knew how to describe it Rolling Eyes my father saw me and he looked at me alook that I will never forgot anyhow ..I bye a dress of a dall in the end and went back home . the sound of the Piano never left my mind and ear in that night . I finally decide to learn Piano no matter what my family would say or do What a Face

The white Piano is what I am using right now Cool
it has 49 keys I think its a toy but it is enough for me I am very glad that I bought it Razz
the anger of my family is start to decrease day by day Surprised it is agood thing I guess

I jast start learing Piano from the net from two weeks so wish me luck Surprised

and always remember to see a chance in every trouble you face in your life to succeed

thank you for reading my story Wink

bye

your welcome , i am also a learner and found that a lot people in this forum are very helpful with any questions about piano or anything to do with music ,so if you are stuck on anything just ask there are also a lot of experienced players here too that were in same position as us at one time so they know how to explain tactfully ..also there is a lot of info just dotted about on forum ...so you will get most if not all your queries answered in some way
so good luck Smile......( very nice words Andrew ,says it in a nutshell)Smile

Thanks for asking, I'm fine Smile Many years ago I was religious, but maybe I learnt too much science or life interfered.

This reminds me to a nice anecdote:

Napoleon: "Laplace, they tell me you have written this large book on the system of the universe, and have never even mentioned its Creator.'"
Laplace (a mathematician and astronomer): "I had no need of that hypothesis."

I can't play it, but for me the silent hill 2 performance sounds wrong. Timing might be right, but a bit too technical and wrong accentuation. Compare this with this performance:

But I think don't like the game anyway, I would get nightmares if I would play it affraid

Some time ago I've played Final Fantasy X (on PlayStation, lots of hours until the end Cool ) and so of course I like this music much more, performed by our internet teacher Andrew and an ocarina player cheers

Post by VictorCS Tue Jun 16, 2009 7:43 pm

To Zanarkand wasnt what made me wanna play the piano, but for sure one of the pieces that made me wanna play more. But it was Canon Rock that got me really hooked. I didnt knew the guitar, but I knew the piano, and in the end I learned Canon Rock ( sadly I've forgot the last part ), and spent like 3-5 hours a day.

Since I got my first SNES emulator in 2001, I've been hooked on Final Fantasy. They say piracy doesnt sell, but I got FF1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 10-2, 11 and 12 in my collection Playstation now. The special about these games are the soundtrack. Half the joy is the beautiful music in the background.

ATM I'm practicing this piece from FFX-2, there is a piano collection version too, but it's longer, a bit harder and they've added new stuff ( most of the youtubies play this version ). I just wanna learn how to play it how it's done in the game, because it's so relaxing:

you remember me with my brother who is like you collect all FF games but he didnt sense by any of the game songs ... that sad cus I didnt know how beautiful music it has but now No

I wish that I see you play the amazing piece of FF that you love farao
and this is a piece I like from a man called Jon Schmidt

Whats that?! some sort of apple piano Very Happy looks like mac air to me ROFL. anyway if you want be a really good piano player i recommend you to buy at least a digital piano or a baby grand just like Andrew. The feeling and effects of a real piano still beats everything, at least that's my opinion.

Yeah never give up your dreams ^^
I started playing guitar somewhen last year (trying to learn everything by myself ^^), but then I listened to the song chopin Ballade no.1 and I couldn`t find the sheet music for guitar, that was the first time I thought... yeah playing piano would be really nice... Then watching "the pianist" I listened to the song Chopin Nocturne no.20... after that I researched a little bit about Chopin... found pieces like Fantasie Impromptu etc... and then, (that was the breaking point when I decided to learn piano) a friend of mine send me a link to the song: La campanella by Franz Liszt.... ^^

btw. got my piano just yesterday ^^

(p.s. I am still playing guitar it isn`t like I will give that up ^^)
