Help me find a keyboard please
I wanted to try to start learning how to play piano with Andrew's videos but I do not know what is considered good or bad as far as pianos go as I basically know nothing about them.
Right now I am just wanting something cheap that I can start learning on, and later on if I stick with it I will get something better.
So basically im just wondering what "best bang for your buck" good quality keyboard (i don't want something that feels/looks like a toy) people would recommend, say up to $200ish, for someone who just wants to start learning how to play.
Also are there any certain websites that people know of that you can find a better deal than if you were to go to a store to purchase it for the normal retail price?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Help me find a keyboard please
I'd say the Yamaha DGX 630 is pretty decent
it's a very very good deal if you're looking bang for your buck. ^_^

Re: Help me find a keyboard please
You have expensive taste Andrew. Nah im just kidding, but that one is a little high for me right now until I decide for sure whether I am going to stick with it or not. I'm thinking about looking for a used one on craigslist, is having a full 88 key one a big deal to begin with?

I feel 88 keys are a must!!! I had a 61key keyboard to begin with, and it got To Small after a month

So if you feel you want to dedicate to Piano -> 88keys = Must
If you only want to try out, and arnt really sure -> 88keys = No Must

well said thomas

I picked up a yamaha np30 at guitar center for $300 after tax, open box buy. 76 keys, semi-weighted. Probably about as cheap as you can get in the digital piano class. Beats the hell out of some cheap keyboard.
