Re: reading music fast??
Hi
I can give you an answer to that
Well, people that play Fantasie Impromptu, at least from what I know DONT sightread it! They have learned it by hart. This piece is extremely hard to sightread, and the worlds best sight readers would have trouble playing it good if they never had seen the piece or played the piece before. Im actually not sure if it is possible... But maybe a few sight readers Can play it only by sight reading it
To read sheet music and play what you read, it demands a lot of practice!!
You need to start with Easy One hand sheets, and you have to only look at the sheet music. For you to be able to do that, you have to Know how to sightread. Im not getting into that, Andrew got a video on the topic. As for most things you practice you will get better and better, and suddenly you can sight read harder pieces, but still the quality will be better if you learn them by hart.
I think even the best sight readers will get a better version of the piece if the memorize it, analyze it ect and creates an interpretation of it.
Hope that answers it, and also look for Andrews Video on the Sight reading-Topic

Re: reading music fast??
I can read music fast because I sort of visualize the notes, have been doing that for years, and it helps!
