Since I've played piano I have learned the hitting a note and a half step from that note as a chord sounds bad or dosen't harmonize and sounds creepy. Why? I've wondered this alot. Is there any way to use these chords without sounding creepy.

Also: Any one know of any songs with the chromatic scale used? To give me some ideas. Smile

Ummm, whats wrong with them sounding creepy! Discord is the way of the future my friend, at least for me! Ears evolve that way! You can find something to do with every key, maybe try improvising something spooky or for lack of a better word, otherworldly!
