Okay here is some knowledge of mine I hope will help someone else

Well I thought these chords were wierd sounding at first, but turns out an augmented chord is a very useful asset to make your music more interesting Cool

First of all, an augmented chord is mysterious and questiony. (Think of it his way: Imagine you ask a question with an augmented chord and answer it with a major chord.) Like this part of a simple chord progression: "Cmaj, C+(+ =augmented) ,Dmaj" is more interesting than just plain Cmaj to
Dmaj.

Not only that but an augmented chord can make a mysterious cadence before a long pause that builds back up.

For those of you who don't know what an augmented chord is:

An Augmented Chord or (+) is a major Chord with the 5th finger Sharped
(Sharped means to go up a half step) That's where the + comes from. Laughing LOL

Well there you have it, that's part 1 of how to use augmented chords.

I've been wanting to make a music blog or forum, do you think it's a good idea. Judging by this info.
