computer keyboard
hi.. i'm from chiapas, southeast of méxico.. so sorry if i don't spell right english ok.. jeje
but.. i have a question.. since i don't have a music keyboard, but i really want to play piano(i'm saving some money to buy a new one soon), and i want to practice what you have in your lessons, so i downloaded a program called AnalogX Virtual Piano.. which makes your keyboard sound like a piano keyboard.. with the same distribution with the music keyboard in the keys from letters q to p and the numbers row.. however my question is .. Do you think it will affect the way i play on the music keyboard?? because so far it have helped me with learning about notes and scales.. but for the way to play it.. (the position of the fingers) is really diferent...

Re: computer keyboard
Playin on the computer keyboard vs midi keyboard = very different...
Most "expensive" music programs got that feature too, but it cant really
help much more than memorizing scales and keys...
The fingering will be very different.

Re: computer keyboard
Dont do such a thing ! I previously used synthesia program [ synthesiagame.com] on " software keyboard " which means that computer keyboard was assigned to piano keys. . . .ye, i learned few songs preety fast .. . . . but later on when i tested my "skillz" on 88 digital piano it was like " oh, what the he . . .aven, where is [Y] and [";"] key now ? "
Btw If u r planning to learn using ur PC, i suggest using synthesia program and any MIDI controller. It looks like a keyboard but usually doesnt have any buttons just on/off switch and midi output. The pc will play the sound, and u will be able to learn playing in the 1, and only right way ;P
Its cost is preety small and its light weight. The problem is, u will be unable to hear any sound without PC/amp [ no build in speakers], and as far as i know its the best to learn on full weighted keys with touch sensitive function, that most of midi controllers doesnt have at all.
