Is it if you play it relaxed... or if you do exactly what it says to do on the sheet music?

I think it is when you play the notes relaxed, and with your own interpetation. If you play exactly by the sheets, the music is considered dead - acourding to univerityprofessors in music - And I guess I agree. It more fun to listen to different interpetatins... It would be boring to listen to different pianists if all of them sounded alike!! Smile

Relaxed, with good tempo, and music coming directly from the soul. Sometimes that can be hard, other times you can connect with the piece right away. The more you try to play from your heart, the easier it becomes. ^_^
