Re: Circle's Performances
The third and final installment of Clementi's Op. 36 No. 1.
You all have no idea how happy and relieved I am to finally have these published. Now I can move on to other things. I think my wife is glad I'm done with this too. I think she might have been getting tired of hearing it!

Thank you!
Yes, I also think having the recordings on You Tube will be a nice reference for me in the future. Despite all the time that goes into producing the videos, it sure is well worth it!

Speaking of ice cold hands, winter is coming and it's starting to get fairly cold in my basement where my keyboard is. It's no fun playing with eiskaltes händchen.
Time to break out the space heater!

Re: Circle's Performances
Haha!! I know exactly what you mean, Circle! Especially cause I ALWAYS have cold hands! Sometimes I even have to lay my hands on the heater for ten minutes before I can even think about playing. Otherwise my hands hurt! =)
Eskaltes Händchen sucks in the winter time!!! =)

Re: Circle's Performances
I was fairly productive the last two nights. But this one goes first, the other still needs some, ummm, creative editing, which might take a bit.
Anyway, this one I learned amidst some other stuff I'm working on. So, it was rewarding to knock this one out with all the other stuff going on, and yet I'm relieved to be done with it to get back to focusing on the other stuff again.
Very short. Very nice to play and fairly easy to learn. Enjoy!

piece selection is usually pure and utter randomness!
Actually, I start with this list:
http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/files/Graded_Pieces_Sorted_By_Difficulty.PDF
so, for this piece and a couple of others I was looking for some level 2 (according to piano world) pieces. I looked in the level 2 section and grabbed some. I made sure that I liked the way they sounded on you tube, then looked for public domain sheet music.
It's a very scientific and technical process. Not really.

Re: Circle's Performances
Another one! It took me FOREVER to get a decent take of this (still with a mistake or two). My "on camera" nerves have gotten better, but I still have a ways to go.
Anyway, I had some fun with this one. Here is the final recording:
And here is very brief (as brief as I could make it) video showing my learning process during this piece. I took over 1.5 hours of video, planning to show the whole song, but the final video got really long quickly, and more boring too. So I only showed the very first section of the song, and edited the heck out of it to keep it short.
Still, I hope it's neat and not too boring. I'd love to hear your opinion on it. If it's neat, I'll do it again. If it's boring, I'll never ever do this again!
Enjoy!

Re: Circle's Performances
We Three Kings, on piano and guitar. It's out of this world! (groan)
I haven't touched my guitar much since I started learning piano. The callouses on my fingertips are gone, so let's just say this was painful to put together.
Enjoy!
(the big video player on you tube has better video quality)
