nails that i can't get rid off even if i wanted to, can i still learn piano?
hi andrew!
just joined the forum a day ago and already asking questions.
here's my problem: I really want to learn piano well from the beginning by watching your lessons, but i do have strong nails of my own that i just can't cut off, this is because the finger is attached to the nail very high up(i don't know whether my explanation makes any sense)
i tried to make them the shortest as i could, Normally i always have them long and i sacrificed that for piano.
my question is whether this would be a problem for my hand position en later on techniques and stuff and are there piano players with nails at all???
anyway, red your bio so take your time if you want to respond to this weird question.

I had to clip my fingernails off to be able to play... they were always in the way... and now my fingers feel strange...

what REALLY is a pain in the butt is the way my fingers have been hurting from the first four days of playing... like the tips of my fingers are all sore!!! =) Im hoping that pain will fade with time and practise! =)

Well if you've cut them as much as you can just try them out on a piano... they should be fine. o.o
