On a standard piano, how long is an octave, like from C to the next C>? Like how many centimeters because I don't know if my hands are big enough to reach an octave>? (Sorry if I say like a lot, I didn't really know how to word this question.)

I think every hand has the possibility to reach 1 octave aslong as you're not a child or a midget. I got small hands and I reach from C to D. That's 1 octave + 1 key.

I'm not a child or a little person but i'm only thirteen and I have fairly small fingers. It seems like it wouldn't fit but I don't know...i've never tried because I don't have a piano

On my piano 7 keys are 16.5 cm wide and the size of one white key is some 2.357 cm by 15 cm. The black keys are arranged in a way that the length of the white area is always 1.2 cm at both sides of the black keys. This picture shows the concept of the geometry of the black keys, if you want to draw it yourself on a paper for training:

I've heard of someone who has practiced with paper drawn keys, so it is possible, but difficult. Maybe you can try to learn a simple piece and then impress your parents when you are the next time at a store with pianos Rolling Eyes
