Dont know the op. But it is an: Ecossaise
No pressure huh? Remember comment, vote and so on...
I really liked it just as you forecasted You play it very lightly, very playfully... too bad it is not longer...
I think it was just perfect

Tnanks Maggie I am very satiesfied, I think I hit the dynamic part perfect when I recorded, so I was so happy when I managed that :D Yeah, it is a small piece, that is true. Started it last week, that is why I could post it now couse it is so short, only one page, and it is played twice, so the length of two pages =)
Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39
I did that too with my Haydn piano piece because it was so short.thomandy wrote:Started it last week, that is why I could post it now couse it is so short, only one page, and it is played twice, so the length of two pages =)

I wasnt really in the mood to practice, or learn somthing at all, so I thought wath the heck.. Why not try to improvise in my favorite scale (B-Major) And, this is the result!!
I can say: I didnt really prepare on beforehand, so everything is made up un the spot. Only knowledge I had was that some keys sounded good togheter, and others dont And thats it really. I stick to the key almost the whole time. Got a little lucky I didnt totally ruin the endig, couse then I suddanly for some reason jumped out of key, hehe. And, I actually sat for 4 minutes Damn, didnt know that. Could probably have shortend down a bit from about 2:10 - 3:10ish, something in that area, got very repetative, but still, I AM REALLY satisfied with my very first improvisation
Hope you enjoy!
And at the bottom, a picture I drew after a onlinedrawing It is Mozart
Improv #1 - B Major
Mozart

That sounded kinda like the title song in the Croc game ( Playstation ).
But not as happy.... Great drawing by the way ^_^
I loved 3:15 when you start at the higher octave
Croc song I was talking about

Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39
It was really nice for your first improvisation!
What i'm gonna say it's a matter of taste, but you ended your improv in B, wich is like the IV of of the F# maj scale, and it's not an "ending cord" but a suspended one, and dosen't really feels like the music ended. If you made an F# maj chord after that B... would have sounded more acomplished in the end. (try it, play the tune you did, get to the B for the ending and then try the F# ;p those are called "cadencias" in portuguese, idk the name in english, maybe Andrew can say it for me ^^)
But... it's your interpretation... so it's ok. I'm just giving you a tip :p

First of all tnx
Second.. I didnt do anything wrong?! I started and ended On the exact" same notes, as you say B. But, this Improv is In B- Major.
All my notes are in that scale! Why did you think I was playing in F#??
One thing I though of after I was finished is that I could have used a correct leading tone before ending, but that I didnt think of at the time I was playing, and I dont know the right leadingtones anyways hehe.. But I did try to lead, maby I failed at that, wich might result in what you are saying about not sounding finished, but I start and end with B.
First touch -
Right hand - B
Left hand - E
Last touch
Right hand - B
Left hand - B

Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39
I liked the improvisation you came up with some sweet melody lines However sometimes you repeated the same note to many times and it took away all the sweetness(or tension?) from the improv. You probably did that to get some thinking time for what to do next..
Also it seems to me that the piece never came to that "fulfilling" part, or how I should say it... The blast of emotion ? But hey it's your piece maybe you didn't want it to.
Another thing you should practice is some more left hand action Good job on your first improvisation...
You can read my improvisation guide if you need some directions on what you can play to add more emotion into your improvs
