I actually love the theme, da.da.da. da.da.da da.da.da, but when I listen
to the piece it doesnt make me feel anything...
Hard to explain, it's not easy to put words on feeling you know
You should listen to Bach's Goldberg Variations, BWV 988, but do not compare them to the moonlight sonata,
because it's a different style, I just think you should see if you like, and maybe wanna play it someday ^_^

I see Well when I listen to the moonlight sonata I get sleepy, hehe, makes me calm
I just listened to the Bach, and it is very nice!!! I like Bach, and are considering one of his pieces now. Its a grade 6/9 and very different from all the things I have done, so I think I should learn some from it. Think it is called something like Variation 8 or something like that... But that piece you mentioned was Really beautyfull Didnt really know Bach had such pieces I know to little of Bach since I havnt played anything of him yet

Hm... They work for me, and it seems they work for others!??! Maybe not?!
I dont know, but I know it has happened to me before to, might be if Youtube was maintaining or something at the time. I know they did that for a while today, and then these things might not work in that periode of time, or doesnt it work now either??

I think your interpretation is just as pretty as the so-called original.
I dont agree with those people who would only stick to a certain way to play pieces.
We were never there when the composer wrote the piece and many cases there are no exact instructions from the composers how to play their pieces. Plus I think everyone has the liberty to shape a piece to their personality and feelings.
Your play was overflowing with emotions and that is why it is so enjoyable to listen to it.
The more I listen to you play it the more I like the piece. Thanks for making this video

Yeah Thomandy, let me stress again that I really felt how much you enjoy playing this piece. Whatever image was in your mind really did something for me, but especially your enjoyment of playing it was the most powerful part.

New original comp - its written in A major and I modulate to Gb major

ah, good modulation, im guessing you took a minorchord from the old scale and played it as a major chord instead? ^^ from what Im hearing im guessing... Dbm -> Db?... and youre playing my favorite scale aswell in the end ^^
good piece, youre getting better.

Hi Thank you
Well, I do a chord with the right hand (Gb 5th chord) this chord is in both A major and Gb major(as im sure you know), as I with the LH starts an arpeggio that starts correct to the A major, but continues with A# as the 3rd note that concludes that this isnt in the A major anymore but the Gb major. What I do before that Im not really sure hehe - I dont know all the technical terms You got more knowledge on the technical terms and this sort of theory than I do

ah ^^ well it would have sounded almost the same if youd played db major to i think.. a bit lighter though. but what you did was that you simply took an existing minor chord from the scale and played it as a major instead.. for example in the c maj scale if i play a major instead of a minor i would get the same modulation effect i would modulate into the tonic of the a major scale..

I sendt you the sec's? If you look at my videos I put the pedal down at those places. You can hear in my video where I use pedal also if thos sec's was messy?? Im not sure how to explane it, but look up those secunds and you will see what I mean.. I think?!
Re: Thomas's Performances - NEW Liszt Moments Musicaux D.01 - Page 39
I love the new performance of that Zelda piece, Thomas. Great job ! I only have one thing to criticize if you will allow; I personally think that you added a little too much pedal. There are some parts where the harmonics of the intervals that you're playing with your left hand collide and sound like tone cluster, do you know what I mean? 1:08 and 1:41 is a perfect example of where I'm referring to. You can hear the notes on the left hand howl and cluster, it sounds a little muddy on those parts because of the notes being held sustained for too long. Does this piece have a lot of pedal markings where you played them exactly on the pulse of the tempo? Or are you adding sustain and pedaling on your own comfort? If you're playing the piece somewhat perfectly by following the pedal markings indicated exactly on the sheet music, then I respect you and by all means, I'll take back what I said.
Other than what I said, I loved it! You interpreted it beautifully with emotional content and it certainly doesn't lack any feeling. I just wanted to give you a little feedback, please don't take it the wrong way.

There isnt any pedalmarks on the sheets, but I know where to put the pedal. But 100% perfect performances isnt something I can give yet Its been Little over 6 months since I started playing the piano you know So hopefully I got your respect even though I held the pedal or managed to lift my foot to little at some places hehe
Btw: Have you seen my Maple Leaf Rag(10/11)?? Andrew gave me a 93% score on that one.
But yeah, the datailpedaling and detaildynamics are things Im working on all the time. This piece is dynamicwise somewhat harder than it seams. Im playing "p" when I start the rolled chords - and one "mf or "f" in the dynamics messes up the entire piece

Yeah, I watched your Maple Leaf Rag performance, it was awesome. I have nothing to say about that, for you to get a 93% is pretty amazing stuff. Anyway, yeah I understand what you mean, dymanics are very hard to pull off. I have a lot of trouble with pianissimo (pp), anything soft is really hard, so I definitely agree with you on that. A really good tip for you that I've learned over practice is to keep playing that EXACT phrase where you have trouble with, in this case it's the rolled chords you mentioned that have difficult dymanics. Play it over and over again until you're congruent with it. This is usually how I fix my mistakes in one measure, at least that's what my teacher taught me. Keep playing it until you get it right and then you'll notice how comfortable and easy it'll be to play now that your mind is used to playing the exact measure over and over again, you get used to it.
