Forum Performances - !!! Empty Forum Performances - !!!

Post by Thomandy Mon Apr 14, 2008 11:56 am

As I am curious about others skills among the forummembers, and parhaps others share my curiosity?!
I thought we should have a Topic where everyone can for an example, post links, and so on, to their youtubeuploads or other websites.

There is just a couple of rules:
1:Never link to a video that isnt yours!
2:Never take credit for a performance that isnt yours!
3:Common behavior when commenting others!

Constructive criticism is of course allowed. Without it we cant grow as pianoplayers.
Hope there will be alot of videos as the time passes, and progressrepports. Dont be afraid!

So get this started then. bounce

By the way Pianohama, I love your improvisation. Was the last one of your vids an improvisation too? Sad, but beautiful

All of them are improvs =}. Thanks man, I appriciate it! Your vid was awesome aswell Very Happy Personally I thought the left hand chords were great, however if you want to practice the dynamics, try learning to relax and touching the keys very very gently, it's not easy i tell you, first you need to learn how to play the whole piece without any problem, and then its easier to practice the dynamics. But thats just my advice, im not a professional. Keep practicing! =)

I think unless you're really struggling on a piece/if the piece is really hard for you, I'd do the dynamics along with my practice right from the beginning. It re-enforces it every time you repeat that passage and saves you some time from adding the dynamics later . (i.e. after you've got the notes down or learned the piece) But if you're great with your control and get the dynamics down after once or twice of playing, then by all means, do it after. Very Happy

I agree with you Dalirus, I do that whenever I can. Thank you pianohama and thomandy ... by the way thomandy, we're waiting for your performance, you started it all, remember !!! Smile

I find that recording what I play helps me a lot, I become clearly aware of what I may be doing wrong and see my fingers from another angle ... of course I only post the half decent takes LOL

How about building a small community of youtuber amateur pianists and share our progress?

Cheers across the ocean!

Elena.

Well, it will be uploaded very soon, recording it today or tomorrow. Must practice a little more i think, couse I have played keyboard for total 3 months, and piano for 1 day Razz And it is some adjustingissues, but its comming along.
Think I will post a short and easyer verson of: The Entertainer and Canon on piano.
And in a week or so, Victors pianosolo Smile

And I agree that we should have this small community here, we are all amateurs, and that is why I started this Topic Smile
Fedback and progressreports is a lot of fun Smile

So for my vids, they will probably be uploaded tomorrow Smile

You're right, if you can practise the dynamics from the start even if you have to do is 400% slower than normal that is still much better than trying to hack slash your way through learning the notes ^_^

Also! I think that's an awesome Idea to have a topic created for posting your video performances. I'm going to create it RIGHT now on the home page for everyone to post on!
