Voice ranges
Do you know your vocal range? Tell us
I'm a tenor, currently I can go from A2 to Bb4, but my teacher says that with practice I could go up to D5 or even E5
With falsetto I can go up to Bb5
p.s. C4 is middle C on the piano

As I said in the other thread, check out Singing Success and if you can, buy it. I went from a one and half octave range to about 3 octave within 2-3 hours of excercises.. it's really awesome.

Re: Voice ranges
I am 3-4 octaves, I really need to be warmed up for the fourth and can bairly make it, lol I just learned Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen by Mozart, or the Queen of the Night aria, and the top notes are killer.

Re: Voice ranges
Wow, that's amazing! Der Hölle Rache is one of my favorite vocal arias ever!! (I'd say it comes in second, right after Largo al Factotum). You shold really really record it and post it here when you got it mastered! Pretty please, with sugar on top????Caitlyn Voice Major wrote:I am 3-4 octaves, I really need to be warmed up for the fourth and can bairly make it, lol I just learned Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen by Mozart, or the Queen of the Night aria, and the top notes are killer.

The highest note is a F6, that's pretty impressive! Can you do the coloratura passages too? I think the one in triplets is very hard!
Here's the best performance of this aria that I've ever heard
Re: Voice ranges
I totally will, but I have to stop squeaking that note out first. lol... it gets me every time, Im trying to be patient and not push it.

Re: Voice ranges
As for my range, I'm a soprano. My full range spans about four octaves (A2-D7) but my tessitura is from about C3 to F6. If I want to reach the the very high notes I have to be warmed up quite well. As for fach, I'm a spinto.
