Relax?! :/ What is that.
I feel strain and stress while playing. Im tense, and I didnt do this before, but its become to concious so when I try to relax I tense up. I think.
Any idea how to solve this?
I feel strain, (possibly in the tendons), especially when playing fast. Atleast trying to play fast, chords and singles.

Re: Relax?! :/ What is that.
what you need to think about is, that for example, when I play something I don't really "press" a button, I simply move my hand just ontop of the button and let my finger "fall". The only times I actually use muscle to press down a button is when I want some strong dynamics.
So, relax your arms and let gravity do what its meant to do .

Re: Relax?! :/ What is that.
I just don't want to get injured. Cause I don't need that. :p
I just reviewed Andrews posture video, and (I think) I figured out that I use alot of muscular power to press and hold down the keys.
I also can not come to terms with bench height. One source says this, and another says that. And I have not been sitting at a acoustic piano for some time so my refference is kind of broken aswell.
Trouble trouble.

Re: Relax?! :/ What is that.
well as i said, you barely need muscular activities at all while playing, except for when doing big leaps..

Re: Relax?! :/ What is that.
Yep! If you're tenseing up when you try to relax the problem could be mental.
Try telling yourself in your head "play it easy" in your head.
Try to combine motions. Try to do all actions with the minimal amount of energy, sort of like how you walk if you're feeling lazy.

Yeah. Its probably a mental thing. I have also hurt my shoulder from sitting to low on my workdesk past two months. Thats not helping. Hehe.
I'll try relaxing more. I'm pretty sure Ive found what Im doing wrong so I just need to solve it.
Thanks for the great feedback!
