How do you say this in your language?
Hey guys and girls!
Well, we all know music is an universal language. Still, in Brazilian Portuguese there are some names that are different. And since I see there's people from all over the world here, I thought it might be fun to list the differences!
Hey, it may even help someone who wants to travel the world!
So, make a small list for us in your own language!
I'll start:
Sheet music = Partitura
Measure = Compasso
Clef = Clave
Whole note = Semibreve
Half note = Mínima
Quarter note = Semínima
Eighth note = Colcheia
16th note = Semicolcheia
32th note = Fusa
64th note = Semifusa
128th note = Quartifusa
Flat = Bemol
Sharp = Sustenido
Natural symbol = Bequadro

Re: How do you say this in your language?
Well, I'm half Italian. Most of music terminology are Italian, so here's a list of music terms in that are translated in English from Italian.

I downloaded some stuff from an European site and I found lot of bladmuziek ... I thought that was in German... but maybe German and Dutch say the same.
