Welsh seems interesting ^_^
i'm just wondering, how do you pronounce the difference between "Y" and "YW"?
Re: Share your language/words...
well, hard to explain in text.
Y - You know when you go “uhhh” sometimes, (this is the easiest to explain it) it sounds like that. just pick up the ‘u’ every so slightly.
YW - This one sounds like “ewww”... no change really lol
Ill find some audio files somewhere. That will help explain better
Found some audio files, you need realplayer...
Y - http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/wales/learnwelsh/welsh_dictionary.pl?gair=The&Chwilio=Search
still looking for yw

Re: Share your language/words...
My language is chinese.
The pronunciation is very different from English. In chinese, all our words basically only has four different sounds, so if u are not accurate, It will sound totally different. Some even has the same words and pronunciation.
E.g.1 'heart' = sing?, say it like it's a question, is the 1st sound.
I heard someone said 'shape' into 'heart', which is a common mistake as they have the same words, just different sound. Complicated?
E.g.2
'kiss' and 'smell' has same words but different pronunciation.
A guy said to a girl: 'can i kiss you?'
I actually heard him say' can i smell you?'
Hahaha.
The words in the brackets are english words that sounds similar.
English = Ing wen (Ing won)
Hello/Hi = Ni hao (knee how)
What is your name? = Ni de ming zhi jiao? (knee the mane g gel)
My name is "eg:Andrew" = wo de ming zhi jiao 'andrew' (war the mane g gel 'andrew'
How are you? = ni hao ma? (knee how 'mum without the M at the back')
That's the best i can come up with, hope it's of use.
