hi Andrew

Did you ever think about making podcasts out of your videos for Itunes? You could give a link on your website which would open Itunes make it possible to download the episodes.

I dont know the exact technical background but Im sure your friends Tutvid and Jordan can help in that.
Recently I downloaded your lessons from Youtube as I mentioned earlier.
I decided to convert them to mp4 format which is required to watch it on Ipod. It took some time but I was worth it. cheers
I found a free program which can convert all kind of media files.

The piano Im playing on is in the living room but my computer is on a different floor. In this way I made the videos good to go. flower

As much as I know the Itunes can handle little longer videos and you can make them available for free also. If you have a subsriber their Ipod automatically download the newest episodes.

So do u think it would be worth for you assist people in Itunes community?

Actually After reading this it reminded me about the podcasting, so i looked into it further and i found a place where i can host an RSS feed, but last night while it was trying to upload the video, the file failed in the middle of the night, so i'm going to have to retry it. But if this works i should have some of my lessons up ready to be podcasted within a few days!

Take care Smile

(Ps if it wasn't for maggie's help i would've never found it all.)

Thanks for looking into this, I was going to download the video's from youtube and convert them myself but I'm sure the quality will be better if it's done with the originals.

If you read my comment I did convert all the videos and uploaded them into my Ipod. I could not tell really any quality difference... the Ipod's screen is too little to say that... ( or maybe I just used good programs to convert Smile )

Sweet of you I am actually uploading them now. The first 10 lessons are already available... and today it got already 46 hits although it was just barely uploaded.

If you copy this link into your browser it is going to open your Itunes ( if you have Itunes installed) and put the podcast into your row. You need to click on the subscribe button to get the new things automatically and click on the arrow which will open up the existing episodes and you can check any of them you wish to download.

Andrew,

I had given up on piano for a few months, I think you might remember me from some of my earlier posts (see above) but now I'm delving into theory in a class I'm taking and I'm finding it easier to learn theory as it relates to the piano then to any given "stringed" instrument. I came back to your youtube page to see if you had added any new videos (remember I have some on my IPOD from June) and found that they were all now reportedly re-shot in HD! with this new discovery I wonder if these new Videos are available as of yet in IPOD format? If not I wonder if you would mind if I created a DVD copy of your lessons/lectures for my own personal use?

I'm sorry if these questions have already been answered in some form.

Thanks,

Hey there man,

I'm really sad to hear you'd given up on music. I'm really happy to hear you're going at it again! ^_^ Nope, I don't mind if you use them for your own personal use. just don't be selling them to anyone Smile that wouldn't be very nice! ^_^

Take care man, I hope to see you around again Smile
