Re: Having a Problem with Andrew's Videos
Nope, it doesnt work for me either... Its somthing wrong. Andrew must repost it I think or contact youtube so they fix it. Or you have to wait until he does a retake. He is retaking all of his lessons with better quality
Re: Having a Problem with Andrew's Videos
Exactly what Thomandy said, he's retaking all of his videos for better quality because he recently bought a better camera. If you need any help on what you're trying to view on his video, just ask here and we'll try and help you out.
Re: Having a Problem with Andrew's Videos
Wow ..
Nice to have all the videos again with better Quality ..
Andrew is really making a Great Effort for us ..
I'd ask Later " Still in Lesson 5 "
Appreciated ..
Thanks .

Re: Having a Problem with Andrew's Videos
Hi,
First of all I wanna thank all the people who helped me ..
I have another Q in Lesson "6 - Part 2" ( Not "fool" one Thomas )
when Andrerw played the "A Minor Scale" he said that we have to count
"tone - symitone - tone - tone - symitone - tone - symitone"
At last he pressed the G# not the G key & he said "tone - symitone"
at the last section
Like this Pic :
So could anyone help & tell me why ??!
Cuz I don't wanna let anything without understanding it ..
Thanks.

Re: Having a Problem with Andrew's Videos
Well there might be an easy answer to that question really.
1: Natural Minor scale
2: Melodic Minor Scale
3: Harmonic Minor Scale
Thats why. If he said what you say he said; He did a mistake?!
He actually told about the Natural A-Minor Scale and showed you the Harmonic Minor Scale!!
Formula:
Natural:
Tone-Semitone-Tone-Tone-Semitone-Tone-Tone
Ex:(A) A-B-C-D-E-F-G-A
Melodic
1:Tone-Semitone-Tone-Tone-Tone-Tone-Semiton //// On the way up
Ex:(A) A-B-C-D-E-F#-G#-A
2:Tone-Tone-Semitone-Tone-Tone-Semitone-Tone/// On the way down
Ex:(A) A-G-F-E-D-C-B-A
Harmonic
Tone-Semitone-Tone-Tone-Semitone-"Tone+Semitone"-Semitone
Ex:(A) A-B-C-D-E-F-G#-A
1: Natural Minor scale
2: Melodic Minor Scale
3: Harmonic Minor Scale

Well, you can see the differense. They create different sounds and feeling. They found out that the natural minors really wasnt good enough. So they made another one, but this didnt really fulfill either so the third was made to make the system complete. You choose scales after what sound you want to create in your composition!! But thats more advance stuff!

Yeah ..
Thanks Thomas ...
I have a great enthusiasm but waiting for the 9th lesson ...
Aha ..
So Sorry .
But by the way ..
I Can't Understand this "Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle" for sharps and "Battle Ends And Down Goes Charles Father" for flats. or apply it on the Piano ...
Thanks Thomas
