There are probably teqniqes for this aswell, I havnt learned so much about eartraining, but you got to listen to certen notes, then conect them to a notename. So after a while your brain rezognizes the sound and manages so conect to its name.
Then you got to go further and learn intervalls and chords, and broken chords ++ To be really good at learnin Songs by ear.
Melodyline isnt always so hard, and the you can of corse build your own chords if you know a little harmony and chordprogressiontheory. But recognizing chords is at least hard for me at the moment! =)
Also: 1/10 000 got absolut hearing or what you call perfect pich. But normal pich, well its normal. And some are tonedeaph!

I feel sorry for the tonedeaph!!

Eartraing can be rather trycky on a keyboard thoug if its just sampled and pc-regenerated sound. Then the ear learns bad habbits, cind of!
