Guys I need advice

I recently posted a video on youtube and I would really appreciate it if you guys give me some tips and advice on how I can improve my keyboard playing.

Here's my little background:

I'm the keyboardist in my church. I've been playing keyboard for 8 months now.
I practice 3-4 hours a day sometimes 5-7 hours. with 20 minutes of break every 2 hours.

i think you have memorized the form song partitur
how about if i gave you a new sheet could you play it direct??
if not you sould learn partitur
the basic classic piano is learn how to read partitur .tempo..fingering

for all your perform is great fingering is good.. tempo i cant hear clearly i hope its right....

i hope we can change opinion because i only grade 1primary in classic piano ...so still learn too

I'm not a classical pianist.. I'm a praise and worship keyboardist.. I mainly play Praise and Worship song and the title of the song that I play was Here I Am To Worship. ^_^

no i mean when you play some song how do you know what key you should press ?? used partitur or just feeling press the chord?
if you autodidact then from now you must learn note partitur
so when you wanna play other music you havent hear or know you can play it just reading the note...
my friend is autodidact too...he cant play music he havent know he must practise press what note 1st . he must memorized it 1st(not 100% correct not just heared same)

What do you mean if I know what key to press? Oh I see where you're going with this.. Ok like I said on my previous post I play in church.. Meaning every Sunday Service I play the keyboard - everyday I practice 1-5 hours a week except Monday - There's probably 20-25 songs that I know how to play. Pretty much if you play 1 to 3 songs in 1 - 5 hours a day.. you'll be able to memorize them pretty quick especially if you know your chord progression and music theory.

So pretty much I practice everyday and I have this hunger to learn more and more and more.... I am self taught.. I taught myself how to read chord sheet, how to play by ear and learn my music theory.. I never had any piano lesson because I never had the money but you know if someone gives me some free piano lesson that will be so wonderful and I would appreciate it a lot and treasure it forever...

I cant see where you could improve, maybe learn how to read a sheet? And read more about music theory in general to improve the knowlegde of how music works. Stuttering and tempo etc can be improved with practice. Keep on playing ^_^

Since you're into this Jesus thing, I gotta ask you for a couple of chords. Dont know if you play alot of gospel, but I wonder what chords they consider as churchy, because I love the sound of that. I could probably search the net, but since i'm already writing a post I felt I could ask.

Yes, that's what I do.. ^.^ Just keep playing and playing it's like a drugs... I can't stop playing the keyboard for some reason and I can't stop thinking about it..

Anyways for the church chords, it totally depends, because there's contemporary Christian Music (which I play) and Gospel Music (which I play as well but not as much as the other one).

For contemporary Christian Music - we mostly use basic chord progression such as I - V - VI - IV chord progression and we commonly use the keys of D, E, A, and G sometimes F, B, and rarely C. But there are a lot more chord progression I just can't think of it right now I need to have my keyboard in front of me to remember it.

For Gospel however they use a lot of preacher chords, shouting chords which is a lot different with contemporary chords because their chords is more likely to be bluesy chords and the chords that they use sometimes are Eb, Bb, Ab, F, D, and Gb. They also play on those keys as well.

ok i got it..1st time i learn piano my friend just tell me you learn how to press cord C D E F etc.. but i cant combine that for the 1st time..i try to learned but almost 1 year i got nothing...so i take a course in piano
what else...not that simple take course 1st my fingering is dont know how to press my hand must OVAL
after i know the key position the lesson begin from now...
TEMPO... sight reading...play the note with hard or soft ..i will tell you later more

because i see your video your hand position and know what should press the key...i think you can skip
the lesson is sight reading the note...try the simple one...maybe mary had a little lamb or twinkle little star
the main idea is not ( oh that is easy song) but you must read and press every single second the note...

i take a course every wed 30 minuted only..and now i focus on fingering on BEYER book number 24-25 so if you have the book you can follow my lesson course with free ^^

play it grade 1 until grade 4 if you can...
remeber 1 thing play piano not to memorized but can play all song
so if you ask me can I play Here I Am to Worship without sheet? my answer is i cant....
but if i have a sheet i can play it....
that is the different between you and me...if you can read sheet and play it you are 1 step good than me ^^

I am able to read chord sheet and hear and play by ear. But that's good though. And you know if I have the money to have a piano teacher I would but right now I don't have the money to get a piano teacher or go to music school. I am a high school graduate, 20 years old. My salary is not even enough to pay for the bills and grocery so the only way I learned playing piano was watching people play on youtube and watch tutorials and copy them and apply what I learned to what I know. So yeah.. but I believe that Jesus - my Lord and Savior - would make a way for me to go to music school or even just for me to go to college so I can have a degree and have a better job that way I'll have the money to pay for the piano teacher or even to go to music school. So for now.. I'm stuck with youtube videos and I thank God for youtube.

we are comunity we can share..i learn piano since augst 2008 until now for about 6 month..i undestand your skill for pop song you great i think but classic song will be different have a lot of fingering skill...keyboard player usually both hand play chord...pianist left hand play chord right hand play melody...
