Genious "Quotes"!
I found a really awsome quote by Frederic Chopin (1810-1849)
And therfore I made this topic so others, who find somthing like this by Chopin or others componists, can post it here.
Frederic Chopin:
"For what kind of fool would I be if i played the same piece the same way twice"
- Loved it

Oh I love these too
Bela Bartok said:
"Competitions are for horses, not artists."
and something about his approach of music what our improvisation team might like
"It may sound odd, but I do not hesitate to say that the simpler melody, the more complex and strange may be the harmonizations and accompaniments that go well with it,"

Ferenc Liszt was not only virtuoso but a great entertainment to his audience. He had a great sense of humour.
Brahms' Variations are better than mine, but mine were written before his.
I find little in the works of Beethoven, Berlioz, Wagner and others when they are led by a conductor who functions like a windmill.
Sometimes Im wondering what would he say if he would lived longer and could listen to contemporary music

Well back to a little bit more musical topic .. some stories ...
Johann Sebastian Bach was so fond of full harmony that he would make constant use of an instrument's pedals. When he was unable to reach them with his feet, he is said to have pressed them using a stick in his mouth.
++++++++++++++
While rehearsing a Beethoven concerto with the conductor Otto Klemperer one day, the famed pianist Artur Schnabel(1882-1951) began to signal his own preferred tempo to the orchestra from his piano stool. When Klemperer realized what was going on, he promptly stopped the proceedings. "Schnabel!" he snapped, "here is the conductor!" "I know that," Schnabel replied, "and here is the pianist. But where is Beethoven?"
++++++++++++++
While performing a new piano concerto one evening, Beethoven began to conduct from his seat at the keyboard (a fairly common practice at the time). At the first sforzando, however, he raised his arms with such passion that he knocked over the piano lights.
Beginning the concerto again (with choir boys holding up the piano lights), Beethoven again dramatically raised his arms, this time striking one of the boys (who dropped his light), causing the other to astutely duck - and sending the audience into fits of laughter.
Acknowledgment for the composers:
Ever since I began to compose, I have remained true to my starting principle: not to write a page because no matter what public, or what pretty girl wanted it to be thus or thus; but to write solely as I myself thought best, and as it gave me pleasure.
-- Felix Mendelssohn, 1843
An a quote from Johann Sebastian Bach
There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Re: Genious "Quotes"!
There is an also very interesting quote of Beethoven
"Music is the one incorporeal entrance into the higher world of knowledge which comprehends mankind but which mankind cannot comprehend."
Chopin said
"Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art. "

No catholic doesn't count as Jewish, Catholics came from romans, when Constantine took over the church and made it his own.
