Hello from Germany
Hi to all.
Im new her, I've just started the piano 3 weeks ago.
I think andrew is great, I really like his style.
As for me, to intruduce myself a little.
My name is Claudia, and i am actually dutch, but i currently live in germany.
Im 31 (very old...) and im married, and have a son that will be one year old next friday.
i am a vet doctor, but at the time i am at home to raise my son, and i finally find i have time to get in to the pianostuff.
my other hobbys are horsebackriding, walking with my 2 dogs, internet off course, movies and books. and playing with my son.

Re: Hello from Germany
yeah i heard that there are actually people older than me, amazing he?
no im just kidding. i find myself okay this way. i wouldnt want to be 18 again. being adult has many good things, like my little boy.
he is the reason i want to learn to play.... my personal inspiration so to say.

Re: Hello from Germany
hi claudia and welcome to forum i am also an older learner but i think being older only makes us appreciate other players and the music itself more ..i wish i had started at an earlier age now but i am really glad i decided to do it now though ..as the saying goes "better late than never " so gd luck with your playing and i hope you reach your goals

Re: Hello from Germany
HI Claudia, I'll say welcome too!
I'm also a late learner. I started learning in June and am 33, so you're not alone!
Your son must not be walking yet. You might find once he's walking that you won't have as much free time as you thought!
(I have children too, and find my most productive time on the piano is when they are asleep )
Good luck!

Re: Hello from Germany
you're right, he is not walking yet but he is prakticing. and i only play and praktice wenn his daddy is occupiing (how do you spell that?) him or wenn he is asleep aswell
wenn he is awake he needs my full attention even if he isnt walking yet.
it is nice to see that there are other late-starters here. as a child i never had the possibility to play music. but as you guys said: better late than never.
@aendym: dankeschoen.
where in Deutschland are you from? (no i`not the courious type )

Re: Hello from Germany
I'm from viersen. that is close to mönchengladbach and duesseldorf.
I live 7 km from the dutch-german-border.
but i used to live close to frankfurt (like 60 km north) so i have a general idea where würzburg is
