Chord fingering question
Hi Andrew....Love your vids. I'm a newbie at this keyboard thing, but I love it. My question pertains to the left hand and the major chords. The official 5 finger positioning from C to G doesn't feel natural to me when accompanying notes made by my right hand. Can I build chords with my own finger positions, that feel more comfortable to me, but are not necessarily what the official positions are? In the real world, do pianists always use the official C-G fingering for chords? Thank you, and keep up the good work.

Re: Chord fingering question
hi raphael welcome to forum i think andrew would probably say .there is no official finger position ..and that they are guidelines to follow as they probably suit most ppl but not all ,,so change your finger positions to suit you as long as they keep you on track for the notes that follow ,but also remember that sometimes you may have to struggle a little ith some changes but then we all have to so it is worth keeping to some positioning even if seems hard for now but with practise they will benefit you in the long term..but only you can make that judgement ...so gd luck and hope this helps
