Is it okay to be sort-a repeative?
I'm working on an arrangement of piano solo for a song called "No way" By yui
Here's the original song!
This song is a bit different to play on a piano but seriously after working on it I found out that the chord pattern for the Verse is almost entirely F major. So I thought I could just repeat a rock arpeggio with some octaves using different alternations. Still, the left hand is very repeative! Would this be okay or would it sound amaturish, I've seen alot of people doing this kind of thing because it's what the original sounds like right? But I'm not sure. Here's an example of a part I'm working on:
I only started yesterday though.
I'm not making a sheet because it's too much work to make a score because I don't know enough. But this is some what the way it will be finally played.

Re: Is it okay to be sort-a repeative?
If it sounds good you can repeat it. Its all about how it affects the piece in the end. Does it sound good? Then repeat, does it sound bad? Then change
Re: Is it okay to be sort-a repeative?
Well like Thomandy said ask yourself if it's good. Besides Beethoven's moonlight Sonata kinda repeats the same thing in the begining. Cause like he^ said if it sounds good why not. XD

well imo good music is music that's relatively simple, yet delivers a clear message =) but it cant be to repetive, or you'll get bored of it. But you should definetly have a main theme that you return to

Well the song isn't but like a minute and 30 seconds so it should be dang easy but creating a sheet is very tedious when You don't know enough about rhythm. May'be one of you could make it after I finish the video because I might do a tutorial.

Re: Is it okay to be sort-a repeative?
It's actually 1 minute and 16 seconds
It seems most of you thought it was a kentaku original, even when he wrote that he made an arrangement for YUI's song
Aslong as it sounds like the song, and yes, it is repetive itself. I bet you probably wanna try learning Rolling Star one day.

I tried before by ear but I guess I'll just use the sheet music at Josh's website.
