How to practise and play correctly
Hi!
First off, gott agive you heads of for your videos.
Tehy really been helpfull.
Now, I don't really feel like I'm at scratch, but I never had lessons, and i was wondering how to practise correctly.
I don't eanna learn how to read notes, but I wanna hit the right keys a littløe more often.
)
I'm self learned and iæve been watchin alotta song tutorials on youtube to learn to play like:
Apologize, because of you, unfaithful and so on.
Problem is, first of all, I don't know if I'm keepin my fingers at the right keys.
I really can't see how i could use my pinky..
Second, how can i preactise to get better.
Is it just to play trough the scales very often, both singel handed and in chords?
Try to play the scales with both hands at once?
I mean, how is the best way to practis and get "the feel" for the piano?

Re: How to practise and play correctly
Well, Practice scales over & over & over ..
1 hand first then 2 hands
add more octaves each time ..
When you finish all the scales & Chords, you'll find your fingers play alone & freely ..
of course not like Andrew, but you'll feel it

Well, dont play them TO much cause its the same movement over and over, so be careful about tendinitis. Try to not get stiff and be Very relaxed when you do them. I focus a lot on staying relaxed, but I get a bit stiff sometimes anyways especially in my left hand

Re: How to practise and play correctly
hmmm. man this is hard..
(
I don't know if I really get the meaning of it.
Is it shown in any of Andrews tutorials?
so much easier to see how to practice on video..

Re: How to practise and play correctly
anyway. thanks alot so far.
And by the way. how is the right way to play B minor?
)
Is it (with left hand):
B1, D3, F sharp 4 with the fingers?
I find it easier to do the D with 2., but the "right way" is 3 finger, right?
