Chopin Trivia - True or fals?
This is a comment I found on youtube. And it seams reliable.
Anyone that know if its true or not? If true, that kind of makes Chopin more human, and thats cool
Quote:
Actually, I agree that Chopin was one of the best pianists ever, however, it was well known his lack of technique. He was that good because he could "thrill the audience" as nobody else with his performance, not because he made no mistake (actually Chopin used to change some challenging passages when playing because he wasn't able to do it the way it was written sometimes)

Re: Chopin Trivia - True or fals?
Hmmm, i'm actually not sure if that's true or not, but chopin was a big fan of improvisation. I know he wasn't a very flash kind of guy, and enjoyed quiet performances, this would give you the hint that he maybe didn't have the best technique, maybe that wasn't the most importaint thing to him? Maybe the story behind the music was more importaint.
Either way, i'm just speculating. I do not know if those comments are entirely true.
^_^ Sorry i can't be of more help Thomas! (btw, did you see my Ocarina video? what'd you think?)
