Sunny Florida here!
Hola!
I found this place probably like most of you did, through YouTube. It is great what Andrew is doing. Today I took lesson #1 with the help of an old, beat-up keyboard bought in a yard sale for like five bucks. I've wanted to learn to play piano all my life, I'm 26 and still hadn't had the chance to take a single real lesson until I found Andrew's Youtube channel. It all started when I was a little girl in Cuba and took placements tests to enter a music school. My parents took me there just so that I'd stop bothering them, and they were really surprised when I passed the exams with excellent results. But Cuba is not a place where dreams come true, and I was never able to attend such school, therefore never had a piano lesson. Now I'm all grown-up, with a family and plans to go back to school this year... not for piano lessons of course, life is not that easy and I need something that can pay the bills urgently.
So here I am with my new hobbie, which happens to be my life's dream sadly reduced to that; a hobbie. I plan to take all of the youtube piano lessons, practice as much as I can between the cooking, the cleaning and the college studying . I don't plan to become a "maestro", I know it is too late for that now, but at least I might, with hard work, someday be able to play for my own pleasure and enjoyment.
Andrew, you are doing something wonderful here, I can't thank you enough.
I apologize for any mispellings, or if sometimes I don't make sense, English is not my first language
I wish you all a Happy New Year!
