Feeling and recognizing rhythm
Hey,
I've got a little problem with feeling the rhythm of a given piece and with recognising the rhythm of heard pieces. Is there any recommended way of practising feeling the beat?
( it becomes really difficult when it comes to recognising 2 4 from 4 4 )
thank you

Re: Feeling and recognizing rhythm
Try listening to the piece first, and listen to the phrasing of the piece. Once you know how it's played rhythmically you should then be able to play it the way it should be played. And try not to play a piece perfectly on point, use your own interpretation.
Re: Feeling and recognizing rhythm
can i use any fingers as comfortable to play or i have to strictly follow every thing to perform with sheet music.and in chords atleast can i take comfort, im comfortable in right hand chords and left hand with 2nd finger instead you say to use third finger.and in lesson 3 u leave a point use whats comfortable but i didnt catch it clear.so im asking this question.
And how to split my concentration to both hands while playing melody both hands.i could do anything i need from right hand .from left hand i could keep chords accordingly.but how to play in both hands melody.is this you call a type of rythms?please please dont say me to practice,im ready for that. but how to?
i could feel myself in melodical mood to give some simple melody as from left hand i play c maj or any three finger chords like broken triads.but how to play melody in both hands.when i try to hit key in left hand to play melody it disturbs my right hand melody.
problem is i hit wrong keys i think. then which is right one.how to understand.
