fingerings on major scales
I just finished B major scale HT at 120. Fingerings for those scales... C, G, D, A, E, B are the same, as somebody told me that for all major scales i have same fingering:
RH up 123 1234 123 12345
RH down 54321 321 4321 321
LH up 54321 321 4321 321
LH down 123 1234 123 12345
Now i came to the #F major and all the scales with flats, and i saw a different fingering. Why is that ??
RH up 123 1234 123 12345
RH down 54321 321 4321 321
LH up 54321 321 4321 321
LH down 123 1234 123 12345
Now i came to the #F major and all the scales with flats, and i saw a different fingering. Why is that ??

Re: fingerings on major scales
#Fmaj (Gbmaj) is mostly on the black keys.
So the answer is: Your thumb is shorter than your other fingers. Thats why it uses a different fingering.
#Fmaj (Gbmaj) uses RH up 234 12345.
or with your doublescale formula RH up 234 123 1234 12345.
