Re: Look at this! Driving me mad!
Im not sure I see the problem... It shouldn be that hard, cause it dosnt really matter where the notes are placed in a bar. If its a 1/4 it should be played like a 1/4 no matter how the arranger placed it. It usually is just put correctly so they match up with the basscleff vicavercia...
So the RH bar 1 and two is played exactly the same.
Bar 1: 1 and 2 and 3 and 4
Bar 2: 1 and 2 and 3 and 4
Basscleff just seams tricky, they are played exactly alike -
1/8_1/4 is exactly like 1/4.

Re: Look at this! Driving me mad!
It should be easy to play All you need to do is play RH then LH then off together, then RH to LH off together. It's like the hands take turns. Once you get the feel for this it'll become very easy and actually very fun to play. ^_^
Re: Look at this! Driving me mad!
Thank you guys! But I still don't have a 100% answer to my actual question. Ill ask again.
This issue is for the basecleff only. Its written different on each bar, but it sounds ALMOST the same.
Should I just play them the same? Or should I play them like I posted in my first post? I just keep thinking they are written out differently so there should be some difference.

Re: Look at this! Driving me mad!
Yea, each bar is played exactly the same. the first bar they're combining an 8th and a 1/4 note with a tie. then the 2nd bar they just use a dotted quarter note. which is EXACTLY the same length as the 1st bar. so they are both held and played the SAME way. ^_^ Hope that's clear?

So now at least there isn't any doubt
Re: Look at this! Driving me mad!
Yeah, if its the same Ill play it the same.
I just dont understand why the arranger would marke it differently when its the same.
I felt it was the same, but I had to ask.
And I missread your post Thomandy! Sorry.
Again thank you guys.

No problem
Yeah, its not necessary to arrange like that... But many arangements are kind of strange from time to time, just trust your instincts based on the theory you know
