What video camera did you buy?
I'll bet you bought the Canon HV20, but I cant be sure.... ^_^
I was looking at the HV20, but decided to go with the HV30 since it's black, sexy and newer...
The price is the same for both of them, so why not go for the newest...
My old cam broke, so I need a new one before xmas time, what's better than going HiDef

Re: What video camera did you buy?
actually, I looked at both the HV20 and 30 but I decided I wanted to go with flash memory. So I ended up buying the HF100 (since I found a great deal on a class 6 16GB SD card.) The camera works amazingly well, very clear, light, quiet, small, and I absolutely love it.
I'd highly recommend it if you're using windows.

If I didnt want to use tapes, I've would've gone for something else than HV, but right now I'm kinda happy with the miniDV cassettes,
they act as a secondary backup, they are small, ok, the transfering to a computer takes a bit longer than a flash card,
but todays computers can handle multitasking so I can do other stuff while transfering it...
When flash gets as cheap as cassettes, I'm gonna go that way, but I'm sure tapes will live some more years before flash takes over.
