Free Internet domains
Can anyone tell me where I can make a totally free website?
You know, like www.whatever-the-name-of-my-site-is.com, not Freewebs and stuff.
Anyway, thanks.

Re: Free Internet domains
First: Nothing is FREE in this world. There's always a catch somewhere -even if we don't see it!
If you want to have your own domain name, [like calumisdead.com] you'd have to buy it. Search and see if the domain name you want is not in use.
Depending on the kind of website you want to build ie. static [like a blog] or dynamic [like this forum], you might need to hunt around and see which web hosting company suits your needs and budget, then buy the domain name using that company's website -so you don't pay extra to transfer!
How good is your HTML/CSS? do you have a WYSIWYG editor? --Those are things you also consider.
Or you could just use freewebs and endure their name in your site's name!

You can get really cheap and reliable hosting, just hunt around. Also as Phi said, You should consider learning HTML and CSS.
