hey. i was wondering when you see long eighth notes with no note head, what are you supposed to play? or is that like a typo in the paper? or just random lines that look like eight notes..? uh?

Re: confused XD
With no note head? You might be referring to a rest. A rest is a note value and a interval that indicates silence.
Re: confused XD
If there's an 8th note and a rest beside it then it's an 8th note rest and when you get to that rest it has to be silent, meaning you don't hold down or press any key when you get to it. The rest would come up separately on its own and not tied together on the note flag (the line that you're talking about) with the 8th notes. Each note has its own rest, a whole note has a rest, a quarter note has a rest, and so on with an 8th note, 16th, etc.

do rest notes connect with like four tied together too?
Well rest are not notes. They are just called rests. You should take a small break from playing any notes where the rests are. I have not seen any rest being tied together. But that doesnt mean that it dont exist hehe
You should look up the different rests that exist. There are on rest equally every note I think.
Threre are whole-rests, half-rest, 1/4 and 1/8 - rest ect That means the rest tells you how long to take this break
Re: confused XD
oh okay
thanks
but..
it kinda looks like this
could those possibly be tied eighth rests?
or just beheaded eight notes?

Re: confused XD
I haven't seen that before, that's odd. Although I'm pretty sure you play those as 8th notes because of them actually being eight notes without the note head.
Re: confused XD
That's REALLY strange, never seen it before, i've seen note stems with X's for the note heads though, with those notes you want to just hold down that note without playing a sound which lifts up the dampers on those strings and allows for sympathetic vibrations on those strings. That could be what this is trying to tell you, but maybe not. I have no idea!

Hm... Then I think its the SheetArranger that sucks beef
Find the piece somewhere, youtube fex? And listen to how that part is being played. Or Just keep on and dont mind those! IF it sounds nice with notes there, then play so! It all about what sounds nice and what you like. If its wrong and you find out later, then its easy to change!! Its just a few notes anyhow!
