need some help here....
Now i'm updatet on the piano playing and notes
and i just got a request to teach two people, but i just can't seem to find an easy way to explain and learn them how to play scales and chords. Anybody have a good simple way to explain?? And I don't mind at all if you want to give me some advice in this area, it's my first time teaching, any advice is deeply valued

I agree. Or could just ask them to go through the videos... and come to you when they need something explained.

Re: need some help here....
i use alot from Andrew but sometimes it's good to have more than one way to explain things, if they don't get it the first time, they will not get it if i say the same thing again and again
But Andrews videos are realy great to work from, love him for making them. Both have seen them but they want more guiding i guess, it's easeyer if you have someone who can give you respones i think. Sorry for my english, tired now, night time here and i used all day today writing down lessons.

How to play scales and chords? Or why you can connect some so they sound good? Shouldnt be harder than telling them that a scale is a group of notes that sounds "good" together, and that by creating chords from the notes within the scale you get a chord that sounds good with the scale...
If you play the C blues scale you can use any of the "C-D#-F-F#-G-A#" to create a chord... So are they real life friends? Then you can just show em on a piano/keyboard...
Pick the C major scale, then you can use all the white keys, and dont have to worry about the black, or hit a wrong white.
Easy explained:
A scale is a set of notes that sounds good together.
To make a chord that fits, you basically make a chord from the keys within the scale.
EDIT: I hope you didnt mean the fingering?
I'm sleepy ^_^
