My favorite scale is.....
What's Your favorite scale?
I was just wondering what everyone's favorite scale is.
Personally my favorite is Db major, it's great because you thumb is used on the white keys and the rest of the fingers are on the black. This scale fits your hand VERY naturally. I just love playing it and gliding up and down the keys.
Anyway! Vote away!

The C# Major is the same as the Db Major.. And, how do you play it. I guess I have thought my selfe a strange way of playing it. Couse I start with my thumb on the c#/Db
Like this: C# D# F F# G# A# C C#
Like this: 1 2 3 1 2 3 4 5
I like: B major couse my fingers just glide on that one! =)

Yes, i'm quite aware that C# major and Db Major are played the same, as they're enharmonic notes ^_^
actually fingering for Db major *cough* and C# major would be like this...23, 1, 234, 1, 2 This would be with the RH starting on Db.
Hope that helps ^_^

Hehehe, you are really funny *coughing at me* hehehe, I Know you know hehe
I just started learning Db, last night, but I wrote it in my Notebook as C#, so it was just to, I dont know, relate it to what I wrote it as visually in my post! Hehe *cough*
Im actually no good at finding correct fingering, well, havnt needed to yet, so I just did what usally do. 12312345
Yeah, I tryed 23.1.234.1.2 before I asked the question, and it didnt feel natural, but nothing really have felt natural when I first started to do it. Thats why Im clumsy with the fingering Hehe Tomorrow it will feel natural

Re: What's Your favorite scale?
Harmonic Minor is actually named Mohammedan, while Major Locrian is named Arabian...
I think that's have to do with it's scales used down there

Re: What's Your favorite scale?
Iraq was just something that popped up, after watching the news...

Re: What's Your favorite scale?
D minor has always been my favourite just because of how much I love a D minor chord, especially a Dmin9 chord.
