Re: Do you believe in God?
There was a time when I didn't believe in God, but now i believe in God very much ^_^
I don't par take in religious things, but I do believe in God and hope to live my life in the way he'd like me to go.
It's all about knowing God on a personal level as far as I see it. He's helped me so much in my life and completely turned it around for me. I don't' really care how people think I sound, I believe what I believe!
People can believe what ever you guys would like, it's none of my business ^_^

Re: Do you believe in God?
At first my intention was to stay apart from this topic, but it's hard to resist... I was being a poor little shy coward!
Just to say that I do believe in God as well, and I found some of the comments in the video a little bit offensive. To me atheism (a period I also struggled with for some time) is just another type of faith; the same as you can't prove that God exists, there is no proof that the contrary is so.
Anyway, I thank God for every new day I have ahead of me and for the people in my life. To me He's the best friend I'll ever have.
Take care,
Elena.

Re: Do you believe in God?
At first I thought.. this is just a question... and by the time I read Elena's comment it turned out to have a video attached to it.
There is a freedom of speech so everyone says what they feel and he certainly did... but luckily I dont need to agree with him.
Personally I know Im in God's hand and He and his angels are watching out for me, I experienced it many times.
Without him I would not live as I do now.
People and signs always find me in time of need and I try to be there for others in need.
I found a quote which shows the best what can be my life philosophy, think about it:
Isn’t it safe to say that you have to make yourself happy before you
can make others happy? I feel like I deserve the same respect I give
others.
You are confused because you are still thinking how you can make
yourself happy. This should never be our goal. Your words “I deserve”
are very telling. What you should hope to deserve is eternal happiness,
and the satisfied and happy feeling throughout life that you are doing
your best to love God. Forgive everyone everything. Hold no grudges.
Always be cheerful and pleasant. See that no one goes hungry. Wow, is
all that difficult, or what? No one said it would be easy. And you
won’t be perfect, no matter how hard you try. But it is in exactly how
hard you try that your life will be measured at the moment of your death.

Re: Do you believe in God?
I'm Christian;
I've gone to church almost all my life...
He certainly does have a logical way of presenting his argument; which is fine because everyone is entitled to their beliefs.
But if you don't believe in God, haven't you ever wondered what makes the rest of us believe in Him?? There are fewer atheists than the rest of us; so we can't ALL be misconceived!!
To answer the question, I believe in God.

Differences in politics and religion are capable of destroying friendships so I generally try to avoid these kinds of topics like a plague... but I do believe in God.

Re: Do you believe in God?
Why believe in something that's not there? It's like believing in ghosts.

I think this topic could get dangerous. The way you put that it sounds like you're trying to preach your beliefs on us there.
The simple fact is. We don't have all the answers we have what we believe and what we decide. From my own personal experience I believe in God because of events in my life, not just because i decided to.
Anyway, I think this is a bad topic because everyone is going to believe something slightly different. Which won't be bringing us anywhere closer together right? If anything it'll only divide us, and people will become upset. The forum is about people who have a common interest in music coming together ^_^ If you'd like to discuss something you believe or don't believe about God/life, try to respect what other people believe.
Personally I think this topic will do more harm than good. Just look at what happens all over the world when two people believe a different thing. Personally I love how peaceful things are here. Let's leave it that way alright?
Re: Do you believe in God?
And I was sure we would turn this into a ghost thread
But yes, I shouldnt tell you what to believe, as you shall not tell me either.
People believe in different things, and that's the way it is...
( this was not sarcasm, just had to tell I'm seriuos because internet cant express my words )
Best would be to lock the thread

Re: Do you believe in God?
I would like to note that most of the time in forums discussing religion is prohibited.
(although some forums have certain subforums just for such discussion)
personally I feel that I should submit this.... so, I submit this (and only this)
and... I should like to add that I do belive in god.

Alright, consider it locked ^_^ sounds like a good idea to me. If you guys want to discuss religion be my guest but do it some where else ^_^ sounds good? We're all here to talk about music anyway right?
