Hi, from The Netherlands!
Hey all,
I'm Jeroen, 29 years young (the big 3-0 is coming for me! Oh noes) and from The Netherlands.
I have been watching Andrew's video's for a while now, but not actively following them. This will change I think
First of all, I started playing keyboard when I was about 11 years old. I enjoyed that very much, but at the age of 17 I had to make a choice. Drivers license or music lessons...no tough choice at that age.
After getting my license I never went back, but I never stopped playing. A few months ago I was so sick and tired of playing the same songs again and again that I asked myself what I wanted with this. I decided to start and learn to play piano. My left hand is a real challenge, because I was used to play only chords with that. But it grasped me more than I could imagine, especially when I started playing songs of Yann Tiersen.
In about two weeks I will have a digital piano and that fact made me play even more. I amazed myself and played songs I never thought I would be able to play.
The result of this can been seen om my Youtube channel
They are not perfect, but I loved every microsecond when learning them
At this moment I'm working on my own piece, inspired by Yann Tiersen and again it is going better than I excpected. I'm asking around for feedback and that is, for this moment, the main reason for creating an account here. I can't play my piece yet, because I made it too hard for me. I will post the sheet en midi in an other post and I hope I can get some constructive critisism. I also hope to learn a lot here, just by reading and perhaps joining in...
All the best to you all!

Re: Hi, from The Netherlands!
Hey there, Jeroen.
Another incomer from Netherlands. Glad you've joined (months ago), hope you enjoy what you see, read and listen. Things haven't been all that agitated around here as it used to, but we can reverse that situation, so don't be shy to talk (or type), ask, sing, dance or play. lol
Oh, come on! Who needs cars when you can have your own bicycle?! Oh, well.
Just have fun.
