Is no finger independence cause this?
Here's a video I posted a while ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD45FEAtGZA
Notice how my fingers don't look at all like other pianist I've seen. I have long slender fingers but when I see me play on camera I notice that alot of my finger fly up in all kinds of crazy positions without me even telling them to. Is this because of my expierience or finger independence or what? I absolutely despise how my right hand looks in this video! WHy does it look fat? My hands aren't fat so why?

Re: Is no finger independence cause this?
Hey, in my opinion your fingers seem to be normal. I am no expert, but i think you should play the way, which is comfortable for you. But one thought is that maybe your fingers are too long and if you play different way your fingers would stumble??- just a thought, i dont know really, try different ways and look whats best for you.
And about your right hand - try a different camera angle!
