Re: Matthieu's Performances
Why do you have your private discussions here, in spanish?... It's an english speaking forum and you're not speaking of the topic
There are no piano competitions with teams... And usually mexican conservatories are not known for having a very good level at all. Russian pianists aren't always the best either... And german pianists... Well there are not many very good ones, but there still are some.
Anyway that's really not the subject of this page...

Re: Matthieu's Performances
Awww Alex
I don't know how many conservatories are in Mexico.
Matthieu is great. You've said many times in this forum, Matthieu is great.
I think that he has a perfect technique.

Re: Matthieu's Performances
Hello Matthieu!!!
I hope you do not mind if I put my comment (again ) about your interpretation of Prelude. It's my favorite! If you do not like my comment, you can delete it.
I send you a kiss and I hope to see you someday in a concert...
Alex!!! Thanks!!!

Re: Matthieu's Performances
Hey your "Live Improvisation by Matthieu Stepec" is great, I liked a lot.
I saw your compositions into Sibelius page. I'm looking at the scores with the help of my piano teacher. You are very talented. Best wishes!!!

Re: Matthieu's Performances
Art has such a wide range of diverse opinions. What might not be pleasant to one's ear can be seen with amazement by others, but it's still art. So it's quit unnecessary to judge or underestimate one's creation or makings.
I sincerely enjoyed some of those videos very much, mr. Matthieu, you have potential and my warm personal support. (:

Re: Matthieu's Performances
Hello!
I think I only read this response now! Weird...
"However, Mr. Stepec has a fatal error in all his interpretations." Which is?... I'd like to know!
Vague, always vague...
Anyway, what I wanted to do now was to post these:
I hope you all enjoy them!

Re: Matthieu's Performances
Nice performances from both! But I think you played with more expression.
And the piece is interesting. Sounds sometimes a bit modern, like pop music

Re: Matthieu's Performances
Thanks for the comment!
Well, I played with more expression because I was the soloist and she was playing the "orchestra"
For Beethoven sounding like pop... Well, I must say that I disagree, but I'd be interested to know what made you think that!

Re: Matthieu's Performances
You are right, it is very different from pop music, much deeper and so much more various. But e.g. in the second video, one of the main theme from 0:50 to 1:03 sounds very familiar and from 9:00 to 9:20 sounds modern and familiar, too. But I guess some pop songs just have stolen this from Beethoven
Re: Matthieu's Performances
My latest performances!
After that, I also played Shostakovich's 1st sonata, but I already have a very good quality recording of it, so I thought it was useless to repost it
