SAXOPHONE (eventhough its wind/reed)
Wondering if anyone else plays saxophone.. i been playin tenor, and also wanna get an alto and soprano when i can afford it
im a jazz guy ha ha

I play the Sax too! Tenor! Always wanted to play Soprano but the piano came in between! =)

yea i wanna get to soprano but money is in the way
piano is definatly my first luv but somehow i manage to practice all these instrument in my day... not much time for a social life or trouble between that and school ha ha!! how long have u been playin tenor?

I started out on the Alto in 1990 and switched to Tenor around 1992 - so Ive been playing for quite a while!

do you play any jazz??? ive only been playin sax for about 8 months or so ha ha.... i go for like 40 minutes and feel like passin out

I would love to buy a sax, I have the feel that it's probably a great improvisation instrument. Since I havent done much research on the instrument, is this a melody instrument like a flute, or is it also a harmony, so you can play several notes to make chords like a piano?

its a melody and def best used as a lead... u can do some rythem building baritone is good for that!!

Hey guys 
I want to start on the sax, and Iw as wondering if its alright to start on a tenor or a soprano. I love the soprano's bright sound much more than the tenor's rich one. But people said starting on the soprano is hard.
