Hello from British Columbia!
Hey guys, I'm Amanda. I'm new to the forum and I thought this would be a good way to introduce myself! As the title says, I am indeed from BC. Burnaby to be exact, its really close to Vancouver. I've always had an interest in piano, but never tried to learn until now. I stumbled upon Andrew's videos by chance on YouTube. If there is a God, I thank him everyday for bringing me Andrew's videos. He explains things in such ways where it's easy for me to pick up.
I'm on lesson #3 right now so hopefully I'll still be able to pick up things as time goes on.
Like Andrew, I was born in Ontario but moved to BC when I was pretty young. I was 7 (I think). I then moved all over the country...places like Montreal and Saskatchewan. I came back to BC when I was 11 and I've been here ever since.
Cooking is my passion and I plan on going to culinary school after high school (2 more years). I'm really into songwriting and learning piano would definitely benefit me with that. As for music, I listen to all kinds. Everything from Lady Gaga to Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. My favourite genres are probably alternative, pop and hip hop. I'm also trying to get into DJ'ing but we'll see about that, lol. Hope I'm not boring you guys!
It's 3:12AM right now, probably should go to bed. Peace out!
