baking a birthday cake
i actually spend 5 hours in the kitchen baking a cake. i am prakticing it because my son has his first birthday on friday.
so i thought i could make something special. it really looks greatand very colorfull and i think it tastes great to.
it has a hugh butterfly on it, becaus my son loves images of butterflys that i painted on his wall in his bedroom.
if your interested i could make some pics of the cake (and his bedroom also ) to show you my creation.
(or are you all saying: no that is to little piano matters, thats boring...)
becaus if you say that then the next cake will be with a piano on it, so i can post the pic here anyway.

yes, let us see the cake!
And am I understanding correctly that you are practicing baking a cake for friday? Does that mean this is only a test cake?

thanx for the complements. the butterfly and flowers and heart are marzipan that i shaped and coloured myself.
and the cake itself has a vanilla-creme in it. and the buskuit is very clolourfull to. red and blue and yellow and green stripes
it really looked fun. the kids loved it, but the adults were all complaining: di i have to eat blue cake?
he, what do they expect? its a childerens party

Re: baking a birthday cake
Hehe, I'm a bit suspicious of colorants in food as well, but I like vanilla flavored stuff... yummy...
